About Mur37

Deborah L. Parker has been navigating all of her life. On tricycles, bicycles, or automobiles, she’s moved through the numerous winding roads of her journey from the woods of Waverly Virginia to the historic halls of the College of William and Mary, then on to trails of Fort Benning Georgia— mounting her officer’s bars, now retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve. Pressing on in her career, she’s walked in corporate paths at ExxonMobil and Booz Allen Hamilton. Deborah now parks in Leesburg Virginia, where she writes and manages a leadership and personal development practice, The DPJ Training Group. Through her fifteen years of conducting workshops for corporate and public clients, she has expertly steered thousands in her audiences toward a course for better success in their careers and lives. Deborah has also written articles on business and community issues for publications such as the Alexandria Old Town Crier, Washington Afro-American Newspaper, MetroHerald and Arizona’s Black Executive Magazine. On her personal journeys she enjoys aunting a nephew and two nieces. To keep her life signals strong, Deborah belongs to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the American Society for Training and Development and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon Virginia. On her rest stops she reads, jaunts to beach locations or dismounts to take long walks while enjoying nature.
